Biking Washington County

From well-traveled roads to firmly packed trails through the forest, Oregon’s Washington County offers cyclists of all abilities exhilarating experiences. Pedal through picturesque towns, stopping at u-pick farms or visiting a winery to taste a flight of Oregon wines. Venture by wetlands and wildlife habitats, or take well-deserved breaks at gathering spots in suburban cities. You're likely to prop your bike against a barn or a designated bike rack—both welcoming to cyclists.

The Banks-Vernonia State Trail, offers bikes--as well as pedestrians and equestrians--21 miles of uninterrupted, car-free, smooth riding. Even better, it passes through L.L. Stub Stewart State Park, which offers camping, cabins, and horse camping, as well as a day-use area and trails through its 1,673 acres.
